On March 16, 2013, another successful lunch was served at the Fort York food bank! Our Rotary club members Andrei, Dana, Laura, Steffanie, Bob and Trevor, along with Rotaract volunteer Yuri (all the way from Brazil even!) pulled together and provided a tasty meal for over 130 people. There was a meat stew, rice, salad, a surprise hit of pogo sticks (who knew!) and some lovely pastries. The feedback was positive – even requests for second helpings of pogo sticks (!) and as we were leaving one of the food bank volunteers asked if we were cooking next week as they thought the stew was tasty – awww! It was a great effort and great experience!
