Our guest for this evening is Andrea Victory-LaCasse who will be discussing the Green Beauty Industry.
Her love for clean and green brands reflects a growing industry movement and represents her whole-beauty philosophy.
Starting out in the beauty industry nearly a decade ago as a makeup artist, Andrea studied cosmetics application at Sheridan college. From there she freelanced as a makeup artist, but put down the brushes to focus on beauty writing.
Andrea was a beauty intern at FASHION Magazine under Lesa Hannah, where she became more aware of the green beauty movement and was inspired to open her own shop – Pretty Beauty & Books – the first of it’s kind in Toronto which featured a selection of the top clean and green beauty brands. Andrea and her shop were featured in over a dozen articles and in 2011, she was crowned one of Toronto’s five Fashion Heroes by NOW Magazine. Closing the business to share her expertise and love of green beauty, Andrea started her own green beauty blog, ShopPretty.ca which was listed as a top beauty blog by Elle Canada within the first 6 months of launching.
Last year, Andrea worked as a beauty editor at The LUXE Life and began video work with GoodReport.TV. Focusing her energy on spreading the good news about green beauty Andrea is available for writing, appearances, video content and as a green beauty consultant.
